Morning was BUSY and a little screwed up, so I stayed with the morning dispatch to watch and help until 6:35
Car 6:42 headed home
Still on the 710, almost home and
the 'battery' indicator lit up on the dash, followed by the 'radiator' light followed by the temperature shooting to the right, meaning past-hot... engine still was running; as I exited, I realized that the power steering wasn't working.
Managed to get home, and get it into the driveway.
Talked to J about it.
Decided to use a Ford dealer. We called the nearest one, who told us we could have the car towed to them without one of us being with the car.
I ate MDM ... pot roast, made last night.
Called AAA, who arrived 0900 and took the car.
Sleep
Awake every couple hours to pee.
Ford service agent called 3:30 or so.... with the estimate... ugh, but I said, go ahead
UP
Showered dressed... pills...
Loaded Lyft on J's phone.
Summoned Lyft (1740) who arrived in 5 minutes.
At Willow St Station.

03 May, Tuesday Diary
at work:
Finished 1:5. On to l:6, 1:7.
Snack, carrots then pretzels.
Half an hour nap.
SupervisorDB pulled in to 'do' payroll; ie, make sure all the dept employees ADP records are accurate -- no forgotten clock-ins or clock-outs etc.
AND to tell us (myself and my graveyard partner Al)about his first day (night actually) of driving for Uber.
He left...
Watched 1:8 ... 1:9
06:43 Out, and walking to HH
6:48 before going downstairs, called to check on Merry
6:52 on platform ($12 left on TAP card)
6:59 code 3 and 4 on the Red.
7:14 code 5 at 7th street
7:16 code 3 on the Blue
7:17 code 4
7:51 code 5 at DA; used app to summon a Lyft
8:12 Home... cost to me, 25 cents
Merry was 'out', had left early to get #2 to CoH, and she and I were assuming that she would NOT be home in time to get me to work.
Fed Dog n cats.
MDM pork chunks and chips.
Ate in BR2 while watching TRMS and sharing chips with Donna.
9:30 tried to sleep in BR2, where it stays much cooler than BR1, but it was not working.
Moved to BR1 by 10:00
Merry started texting me at 10:15.
12:15 up to pee, snack on milk n chocolate bar.
15:00 up to pee. Another text from Merry, 15:20, confirming NO WAY would she be home in time for me to take the car to work.
My car is in the driveway, but it's sitting on a low tire, and I haven't checked the oil...or done anything with it since Bullfrog brought it back, so I was not ready to jump in and drive it to work.
17:00 awake by alarm...snooze
17:15 up.
Headed for the bathroom...but Stitch was in the shower .. ahead of me...again...just like Monday evening.
After a few minutes...he got out, and I showered...and dressed.
Summoned a Lyft.
17:45 rolling in Lyft car. Arrived DA 17:57. Cost, fifteen cents.
17:59 on platform. $10.25 remaining on Tap card.
18:00 code 3 and 4 on Blue .
18:41 code 5 at 7th street
18:47 code 3 and 4 on Red
19:03 code 5 at HH
19:13 at the office, 19:17 'in'.
