Not long thereafter, report came in....sitch was over, freeway was being re opened.

Aug 25, Thursday Diary
Heading to work...
The on ramp from LBB to the n/b 710 was closed.
I continued on LBB thinking to take the 91 E, but I was in the right lane...there was no onramp onto the 91 E and couldn't get over to make the onramp onto the 91 W.
I continued...
I thought about taking a couple alternate streets east to catch the 710 but I kept on truckin' north.
Finally found the..and got on the on ramp for the 105 East
And onto the 710 North.
More freeway destruction/construction...
Onto the 101 and finally at the office 00:30.
DB departed...
I settled in.
One driver was still out on a job.
The work for the next day was assigned..
Started watching "House". 6:19-22, Then 7:1-2.
Car 6:14 to 6:55 home

Waited for a phone call from WF, wherein I pretended to be Stitch, authorized a check-by-phone to make a large payment on Merry's WF loan...

I rarely remember dreams but this one...
I was in a large dispatch room that seemed to be a cross between taxis and sedan/limos. One guy was there from my cab days, another there from my current company.
I had brought a couple bags like I was getting ready to go jump in a car and start driving...taxi? Uber?
Leaving, I was handed a room key, room 32.
Then I started wandering around, looking for the room.
It was supposed to be a college dormitory but it seemed like a very large spread out hotel. The rooms I looked in, seemed like hospital beds. I looked in one room, where beds where stacked like bunks, triple high.
Room 32 was not where it belonged, with the other 'thirties' so I went back to the beginning, looking for it.
I ended up so tired, I was on my belly, crawling, pulling myself uphill, clawing for hand holds.
Then I woke up.
Showered dressed kissed Merry good bye
Car 18:17, work 19:31.
The night was under control...I did pm set up for the next day....

at work
My associate-trainee has the movie "The Big Short" on a flash drive, so ...I watched that.
Followed by House 6:16, 17, 18, and started 19.
Out 6:11.
I was listening to KNX about a three truck collision that happened at 00:30 and still had the 710 closed at the 405, so I diverted my usual route to take the 110 south through downtown to the 91 east, and off at LBB.
Home 6:56
Fed animals..
MDM chopped chicken in a bowl..shredded cheese and bbq sauce on top..and buttered warmed tortillas.
Watched TRMS-Tues
8:00 sleep
Awake 1015, to pee, again 1415
and up 16:25 minutes before my alarm.
Showered n dressed.
Merry was working on a speech ( a few words ) to say at the wake...
Then she got in the shower with Stitch's help.. cleaned up... and dressed
In car 17:52 and on the way to Pasadena.
Arrived 18:57.
Merry said 'hello' and we ordered.
I had a basket of onion rings, french fries, sweet potato fries, she had a chicken -- burger.
We sat off to the side... alone ... until Jan and her husband arrived.
Jan -- the woman that came to the house and cut her hair, a few weeks ago... that Merry first met at a Grue some years prior.
They sat at our table... and engaged us in conversation.... about broken bones... and movies....
We left 21:08 and took the long way home... arrived 21:53.
We got her undressed, she went to her chair bed....
I sat in the living room easy chair at 2215 just to close my eyes, and opened them again 23:40.
I got up kissed Merry good bye ...which she hardly acknowledged...
Sent DB a text that I was on the way
and in the car, on the way 23:51....

I fed the animals... and sat in the easy chair and napped, waiting for Merry to be ready for me to help.
Mission accomplished and I fixed MDM ...opened a can of chili...heated it, topped it with cheese, and chips..

78 for Monday, 76 for Tuesday, AND I have the newest new guy, Jon, working with me as overnight training; not necessarily to be the other overnight guy, but just for him to get a bit of training on every shift.
I applied for a loan on Rob's good credit through LC. Merry wasn't ALL for it, but she didn't really try to stop me either.
IF Rob (we) gets it, we can pay off Merry's WF loan and my Avant loan, which have combined payments of $620 a month, in exchange of one payment of $409 a month, with a leftover, after those loans are paid off, of about $1000 a month.
Judging by the emails we've been getting, so far so good.

A fridge repairman stopped by unexpectedly... in response to a message I left on Saturday, though I did not get a call that he would be coming...and he could not do anything for my problem, and I had already called, and arranged for an ice maker to be installed the next day...so he left.

ANd ...I sat in the car, in the driveway leading up to the office garage door.
I couldn't go in. couldn't get my pulse to slow down, or get my breathing under control.
I called Merry to call Denny who was inside.... asking Her to tell Him to tell Me to go home, but she didn't phrase it quite right, so he came out to just ...check on me...
We talked a few minutes...
and Finally, I went in, and clocked in a few minutes after midnight.

The delivery for the fridge we rented arrived while I was on the phone trying to find out when it would arrive.
What a kerfuffle getting it in.
I swear, the previous owners bought the fridge, put it in place, then built the house around it.
Anyway, the tech took the kitchen door off the hinges, took the doors off the old fridge to get it out, then brought in the new one'
The old one had an ice maker, so he disconnected the water line, and turned off the water under the sink..
The new fridge does not have an ice maker...
The tech took away the old fridge, and Stitch and I loaded up the new fridge.
I turned on the cold water to the faucet and got sprayed in the face from the hose that had been connected to the previous ice maker.... so I had to turn off the water again.
Nap 11 -- 1700
UP and dressed... in car with Stitch to go to #2's place to get the fridge items he had been storing for us....
Then to Wmrt for my prescriptions and other items obtainable there.
ANd home 19:00
We put grocery items away...
I went back to nap, 2000 to 2200.
Up and dinner: corn dogs, while reading a LA Times from Tuesday...
Back to bed 22:30.

at work
Sunshine called me at work 0130 to say something like, the fridge was self-defrosting, and water... melted ice was all over the kitchen floor.
Watched House 3: 20 --24.
Left as early as I could.
Out 5:31 home 6:02
Walked in fed the animals, starting 'looking at' the fridge.
The electronic digital panel was 'off' and I could not get it to turn on, which meant the compressor would not come on.
I got online and started looking for local fridge repair places.
Left messages for ones that opened at 8:00.
Found one that was already open when I called, and made an appointment for between 12 and 3, in the afternoon
MDM last of the bacon n ground beef n cabbage casserole and watched TRMS from Wednesday night.
For dessert, veggie chips n peanut butter. Perhaps too much.
I was sleeping in BR1 ... heard the serviceman arrive around 1 p:m.
After a bit, he departed.
Merry came into the bedroom, and said, the diagnosis from the tech was: busted electronic digital panel, which would cost $600 to replace. Better to buy a new one.
Merry insisted I get up , and go with Stitch to some rental place to find another one.
Instead we did online research, and I called some Appliance Rental, and arranged for a rental to be delivered the next day.
Merry called and asked #2 Son if he had available freezer space, and in time, he came to the house and picked up most of our perishables and took 'em home with em.
I slept in BR2 from 1430 to 1630 ... and kept trying to sleep until 17:30...
and got up and showered...
And started throwing up into the toilet.
A couple times.
Judging by what I saw in the toilet, it was the veggy chips n peanut better.
I notified Work by email that I was having difficulties in getting out of the house....
Once I thought I was done with the toilet, I got dressed and out...
Car 19:47 Work 20:25.
Felt good enough....

She and Merry chatted awhile, so I watched House 3:5 and part of 6 on my tablet.
She left.
We finished with 5 episodes of Brain Dead.
I napped from 6 to 8.
Dinner... pot roast.

First, the hospital to pick up the CD of the x-rays they took, Late Monday night...
Then to the Orthopedist..arrived 35 minutes early.
Filled out paperwork and waited..
Was shown into an exam room...she spoke to a nurse for a bit, and ... we waited.
Doc came in...
And made the judgment, that it was fracture... would not need surgery, or a cast.
She has to keep her right arm in the sling.
She can take a shower, but not to rotate the arm at the shoulder at all, only bend it at the elbow.
We returned home.
MDM pastrami n cheese on buns with chips.
Slept 11:00 to 21:00....
Up for dinner, taquitos and rice.
We watched the Wayward Pines season finale.
Moved to BR1 23:00.
