Got some leftover coffee... checked email...
Got Merry up, helped her dress.

Stopped at 7-11, for LA Times and USA Today.
At her PT, 8:30
I checked her in, paid for the appointment, asked about setting up a new schedule. She said, "Nope, can't do that now."
Merry was called in; I sat and read papers.

Merry came along, and we went to the counter, and were able to set up another 4 appointments for her.

Out to the car  
We went to IHOP, as she had a hankerin' for chocolate peppermint pancakes.
  I had a bacony omelette n hash browns.
Then we went to the nearby Vons for some immediate needs.
We were in check out line, and I felt a push in my belly.
I left her, and walked quickly to the bathroom, and was very thankful it was not locked, and it sometimes is (but not lately).
I just made it.
Back to the check out, in time to load the cart.

Up...  changed one of my big bags...updated calendars even on our Google calendar.

Sunday Nov 27th diary

Up to pee  3:00 
and up 10:00 
Put away my laundry which Stitch had completed all the drying and brought into the table, and folded.
Coffee, sitting with mail then Sunday paper, then working on/with my laptop.
Helped Merry in kitchen as she called for me.
Watched TWW ..finished 6;17, then 6:18, started 6:19.
Brought out the square card table and set it up for a sit down dinner for the 3 of us.
Dinner was served:
  Roasted turkey, so tender it fell apart to a touch.
   Sweet potatoes baked in brown sugar and orange juice
   Stuffing, using  gluten free croutons, onions,  celery,  chicken and I don't know what else
   Made-from-scratch cranberry sauce 
   Sparkling grape juice.
  Mmm mm good.

We cleared the table, tupperwared the leftovers and put em in the fridge,  washed as many plates n pots as we could get out of the way.

I sat in the living room chair,   dozing off.
Then I moved into the bedroom, and fell asleep  ...2100

We loaded up and returned home....18:00
I put away groceries, he started the first load in the dryer.
In the bedroom, we watched Elementary from the 13th.
Paused to start dinner... corndogs...Then watched the next Elementary.
Asleep 21:00
Up to pee 23:55.
Sunshine was in the kitchen yelling for 'Daddy' as I got up, so I went to check on her.
She said, "Bug!"
Yep, there was a longish skinny bug there on the floor.
I grabbed it with a paper towel, and tossed it out the back door, 
and went back to bed.

Nap for hour and a half

Fiddled with lap top, seeing if it 'wants to' operate.

Thursday Nov 24 Diary

at work
My overnight rez agent came in at 0100... and we were ...doing nothing, as expected.
He gets a call, just about 03:00, and a 2nd phone rings in at the same time so I took it.
Turned out to be .... a woman who I had to deal with, back in September, who was sent a sedan when she ordered a Viano, for luggage, and she was such a b*tch that I wanted to cuss her out, and walk out on this job....   this time she had just arrived into Miami Airport,  and saying, this driver she had was telling her, he gets "paid to drive, not help with bags."
Wow.
I called the dispatcher for the driver's company... who could not get the driver on the phone....   got back with this client who said, she didn't want to talk anymore about it 'right now' but would call when the trip was done.
There's something to look forward to.
I told my associate that HE is taking the call, if she calls, that I am simply ... not here anymore.  
Meanwhile the thing from last night in Abu Dhabi blew up, after the booker, BT read my email,  and woke up our Head of Client Services at 05:00 who then called me, and ORDERED me to call our Head of Out of Town Affiliates and get her to either influence the local affiliate or  find another affiliate there in time to cover this ride which at this point was  29 hours away.
I spend some 15 to 20 minutes 'thinking' about this,  considering writing an e mail to all and sundry at the office here saying, "No I'm not waking anybody up at 530 on Thanksgiving, I quit, good bye"
After due consideration  I made the call... and Bobby did not answer...voice mail. I left a message, then sent her a detailed email.
Somewhere during this holiday festivities I watched TWW 5:18 -22,  AND took a nap at my desk for an hour.

Talked to Merry, who had been woken up by Stitch, who was off work and home for the holiday, and decided that 6 a.m. was a good time to go into the back yard, right behind the bedroom, and move around and make a bunch of noise with empty soda cans.
I warmed up last night's stir-fry beef and rice, and we watched TRMS-Wed.

Thing1 asked to leave early...no problem...and he left at 9 pm.
And up popped another incident with one of BT's clients.
Her client in Abu Dhabi is Drake and entourage; this one involved Lil Wayne and HIS entourage, in Phoenix.
They had 2 suvs from some private plane to ....
One went to a private residence for dinner, the other, straight to a hotel.
The one that went to the hotel was released and done.
The other one waited, and then went to the hotel.  The driver assumed he was done, because nobody told him squat when he got out, which is typical of these groups.
The bodyguard (BG) called, saying he went outside of the hotel expecting to find the car, but he was gone, and the BG said, there was a change that the boys would be going out to the studio soon.
So I called the affiliate, and heard from the dispatcher that the driver had indeed left, thinking he was done,  and dropped the car at the company garage .... and had no desire to go back.
I called five other companies ...either a flat NO or voicemail then called the hotel, and found out they do have an onsite transportation service, if a guest comes to the front desk and requests it.
I spoke to the BG, and told him, no other SUV was possible, but if his crew wanted to go out, he could inquire at the front desk, and he was okay with that, as at this point (23:45) he did not really think they would be going out anyway.
Watched  TWW 5:22 (again), 6:01, started 02.

Had to fix some problems created by the 'two Things' in dispatch at work, who weren't watching the board.

A client called around 21:30... one well-enough known around the office that the mention of her name elicits groans of pain.  She can be, and is often, difficult.
She was checking on availability to get a pick up at Abu Dhabi airport at 21:55 on the 25th...  about 36 hours from the time of her call.
Thing2 and I spent awhile trying to call and get through to our only affiliate there, and I finally got one to answer, and he said, "Yes, we can make that happen."
We told this client, yes, and emailed the order to this affiliate, and a few minutes got a reply back that they could not accommodate because of the volume they have due to the F1 race.
So
  I emailed this difficult client a message, that this company retracted their availability... and as I write this, I'm still waiting for an angry phone call or return email from her.

Merry said, "When I get better, and I hear you make that kind of statement again, I AM going to punish you."

The after-midnight shift was easy enough.

Spend a bit too much time talking to morning dispatcher Sammy about this and that.

Usual traffic until I got onto the 5-s into the 710-S.  
Four small cars and one 18-wheeler got tangled. Freeway was shut down  until CHP could get all the remnants moved to the right shoulder.

Inside to pee, as 'it' was already starting to dribble in my shorts.
Let  Merry up out of her chair so she could do same.

Unloaded a sink ful of dishes into dishwasher

As I expected, TOO much to do at work.
Several untagged rides for lack of our drivers OR affiliates.
Took time to sort that out.
One woman at LAX, one affiliate trying to find her, started from her call at 8:20 pm.     Many phone calls later,  Pulled my own driver out of Terminal 7 to go find her in terminal 6 parking lot, which he did, about 55 minutes after her first call.

I didn't get started on the next-day-PM setup until 2230 or so.

By midnight, the dust had settled.   

Wednesday Nov 16th, Diary ($2.30/gal)

Quiet enough...
Finished TWW 3:16, on to 3:17--21, and 4:1-3.

Went southbound on LaBrea, heading for the Ralph's.
Some car was in my blind spot in the lane to my right, which distracted me such that I blew by the Ralph's.
AND I was in the middle/right lane, and could not get to the left in time to turn west on SMB to go to the 101.
So I went on to Mel, and turned left...
And drove along and found a Pavillion's.
I'm sure it's been there for, like, 20 years, but I found it.
I went in and purchased  five 12-packs of soda (by buying five, I got 'em at 2.77 each instead of 5.99) and a couple gallons of unsweetened tea (1.99 each) and some  gluten-free snacks, for work
Rolling again,  into a big traffic mess on the 101 then 710.

Had to pee like a race horse  but
Still parked in front for a minute, enough to unload the groceries then my 2 bags...
Moved the car to the driveway  due to Wednesday no-parking on our side of the street from  8 - 12.
Then ran inside, to first pee, then bring in the groceries and my bags.

Beyond that,  easy peasy ... so far  (22:20 Monday).

Sunday Nov 13th Diary

For my belated birthday,  we had planned to go to Staple's, and Daiso, the Golden Corral.
Here's what often happens to us, once we've made plans....

I was sick to my stomach starting early morning until... well, into the next day.
I did not want to get up or sit up or any damn thing, and I didn't (get up or sit up) except to pee every couple hours.

I stayed in bed until dinner:
pork chops n rice.
And we watched "The Circus"-finale, then Ash vs Evil Dead, and 
I went back to sleep.

Saturday Nov 12th Diary

0800 up for coffee
10:30 snackin on pretzels.

Merry was waiting on #2 son to take her East, to attend a baby shower for expected baby from #5 son and girlfriend.  (Are they married?) *answer given below, in comments
Yesterday, he said, "About 10:30".
Today he called about 10:30, "running late"
Stitch took the call, and thought it meant "but on the way"
It did not mean that.
He arrived for Merry around 12:00.
I set the game to record at halftime.
Stitch and I gathered laundry, went to car, went to laundry mat, got loads in wash.
I left him there and went to Winco for basics.
Came back to laundry mat, it was just done, and Stitch was getting it out of washer.
We loaded car, and I went to closest WF bank to deposit birthday check from Dad.
Then home  13:37.
Groceries away, Stitch started first load in dryer.
I went to BR1, finished up the OU game (OU won) and fell asleep.
17:15 Merry called, asking me to come get her at #2 son's house, as he had to take g/f to her job, and if he went with her, it would be another couple hours.

I did some reading , online, while watching some other football.
And got up to work on dinner, as we had previously agreed I would do something simple.

Merry fell asleep.  Watched 'Code Black' from  Nov 2.

I went up (2nd floor) to check her in and make the co pay, then went back to the car.

We went to W-Mt to pick up presciptions and wet cat food
Then decided to go to Subway...

She munched on turkey and cheese; I ate pastrami n cheese n mustard n pickles n onions.

BUT within a minute of walking in, Denny told me that Thing2 had been moved to the 0900 shift, because Tagne had 'just' asked for the day off.

Very quiet at work
Not much, other than The Big Boss was around, working on some project  on the upper level, along with a couple other guys called in on a Saturday.
He came down to dispatch to say "Hiya" and I asked him about moving.
He said, the company was this (-) close to closing on a property in Burbank.... near as I can tell, within 1/2 mile of the place I used to work at, for 11 years....
Watched  TWW 1:18 --22, then 2:1, and started 2:2
Out 15:13.
I let Sunshine know I was enroute.
Price of gas at Sinclair  $2.60/gal
Home 16:20.
Inside long out to use tlt.
Out with Sunshine or Joni; they've been flipping back and forth so much lately, I can't keep track by the next day.

Stitch eventually came out to help lug groceries.

Friday November 4th, Diary

at work
The Newest Kid on the Block, Jo,  came in at 01:00.
I still had Thing#2 here, working his  shift that started at 16:00 earlier, until 02:30.
So, for me it was quiet.
Watched TWW  1:12 -- 1:17
I knocked over a FULL cup of coffee from 7-11, but with the lid on, only 1/4 of it spilled out.   Mike grabbed a mop, in a few minutes, order was restored.  
Out 6:04
Home 6:52.
Fed the emails.
Went through accumulated mail, piece by piece.
Sat in easy chair, went through the new TV Guide.
Merry woke up.
I helped her get dressed.
In car 8:10, at the PT-place 8:25
She went in, I sat in the waiting area, and read Thursday's paper.
We left there  9:55.
To 'my bank' to get cash from my payroll deposit;
to CJ's bank, to make a check deposit for November's house payment; 
To WF drive through, to deposit the cash I had collected;
Home  10:50.
Online, moved money  from Stitch's account to the HH account, to make sure the house payment check was covered. 
Lunch....  cubed chicken breasts with bbq sauce, and a half dozen cheesy-dillas.  
Merry cooked up linguisa eggs n toast for herself
In BR2, watched TRMS-Thursday
Sleep 1200.
Aroused by Merry less than an hour later, to talk to CJ,  about options on the house.
#2 borrowed the car whilst I slept.
Back to sleep.
I heard him in the room, returning the car ... 4 or 5 ish
UP 20:30 when dinner was announced ready:
GF corn dogs and potato chips.
Watched TRMS-F.
Sleep 21:30. 

Thursday November 3rd, Diary

at work
Merry, or Sunshine, actually...called me around 00:30 to say goodnight, and to say she was out of linguisa.  My response was 'so what?' then she explained, she meant bengay, or any of the menthol appointments that Stitch or I rub into her shoulder and arm at bedtime.  SO...
Watched TWW  1:7 -- 10, started #11, then had to deal with worky problems.
We had one px on a private plane coming in near LAX, scheduled 01:00, and another plane into VNY with two px (two cars on it) at 03:00.   We had plans for those cars after those jobs  but...
Both plans were coming from Cleveland after the World Series, but that game ran so late.... 
That the 01:00 flight arrived 0540, and the 03:00 flight landed a few minutes after that.
So I was sitting and watching, and making audible plans for the follow up rides that each of these cars were earmarked for.
It finally worked out and I was out, 6:09.
I went straight from work to Winco (26.5 miles), open 24 hours, and acquired a two-pack of the store brand of rubbing appointment along with the last three packages of the trail mix I like.
Home 7:28.
MDM last of the chili, and chees-adillas.
Watched TRMS-Wed.
8:40 sleep
Awake like 10:30, 12:30, 14:30
17:20 up.   Pill...showered dressed...
Prepped   fed cats...TLT...Kissed Sunshine good bye.
Out to car

Least favorite swing dispatcher Francis did a decent job of getting the work out, so I didn't have a 'lot' to do

Tuesday November 1st Diary

Had to leave the 'rep' problem with the morning dispatcher.

Home 6:55.
Fed the animals.
Emptied the dishwasher.
MDM  pulled pork on GF buns.
Watched TRMS-Monday.

Awake 10:00, 12:00, 14:00   etc

Showered dressed  tlt... filled the dishwasher....prepped drinks

Other than: res agent took a new order in Cleveland for the next day... with all our usual affiliates SOLD OUT.  (Final game World series, ya know).
She called around trying to find some company that we don't have a pre existing relationship with, and assigned the job ... to a company in Buffalo NY!   who promptly emailed us back to say, "Um  not our territory."
So Denny, who was working with me, got involved and found a company in Akron that was willing to send a car up to Cleveland for the 8-hour guaranteed minimum ride.

I started watching "Firefly" ...   1:1. 

Monday Oct 31st, Diary ($2.65)

and 0800, her alarm...snoozed to 08:30

Fed animals,  helped her with shower and getting dressed

Price of gas at Sinclair $2.65/gal   (It's been $2.46 for a long time)
Arrived Optha. 09:47.   
Filled in forms...she was shown in and was back out in 5? minutes.
Finished the forms....
Went outside, to  a Pavillions in the same corner mall area.
Found some stuff that she has not been able to find elsewhere. I found the tlt again.
Home 11:20.

Groceries away.

Naptime 12:15
UP 14:00. She was 'out'.  I snacked on warm-ish tortillas, trying to calm my belly.
UP 16:55 ...Stitch was heading into bathroom and I stopped him... TLT.
After, he went into bathroom to take shower, I went into kitchen, and filled up the dishwasher, and set it to washing. 
I prepped my drinks.
Then  once the bathroom was clear, 
TLT, showered and dressed.
Kissed Her goodbye  
Car 17:58.
Heavy traffic 101,  at work  19:10.  
 Slow night, but busy next day.
 Got my diaries caught up.
Then we (Denny and I) ran into a sticky wicket with an early airport-greeter job that was assigned to our favorite rep service....but that particular greeter had declined the job on Oct 22 by email, and that email was ignored....which meant late night scrambling to find another rep service, which never goes well at night, as such services usual keep banker's hours;  so I don't expect to have a proper resolution to this fine mess until the various services that have 'greeters' (we contacted four, by email and voicemail) start answering their phone or checking their email, around 6 a.m.
