We fed all the animals and started on MDM: chicken, leftover from the previous night, with potatoes au gratin, and t-chips, and a piece a dat peanut butter pie....
and went into BR1 to eat and watch...
I started on the recording from last night of TRMS, but a guest host was on, so I turned it off, and we watched "Unforgettable" from eight days ago..
0900, to sleep.
15:00 up to pee, and snack: peanut butter on celery sticks.
17:00 alarm went off, which I turned off, and snoozed to 17:25.
UP...
AlkaS, showered, dressed, fed cats, looked at mail...
18:00 Merry got up after some Dexter episode finished up on SHO, and She showered...

Wrapping up 58 rides for Tuesday, looking at 44 for Wednesday.
Dealing with any of that did not take too long...

...Watched 1: 1 -- 7. Could not get '8' to load. Continued with 9 & 10.
Called Merry for wake-up, 0528.
She arrived to pick me up, shortly after 6..
Out of the office, and in car 06:20

Fed all the animals.
Merry fixed MDM ... ham on top of potatoes au gratin and toast and p-chips
In the bedroom, and watched "Major Crimes" from one week ago.
0830 or slow, sleep.

My associates (the one that leaves as I come in, and the one that stays with me for four hours) were chillin'
And I got a chance to see what wasn't done.
Such as the 'grid', the website on which we keep track of who is in which vehicle...was horribly not up to date.
And I had to sort out the night work ..
Then figure out Tuesday's night work.
With 55 rides done for Monday, and 50 going into Tuesday, this was way tougher than it should have been.
The UNeasy-to-get-along-with booker for some rapper started calling in rides to our rez agents... that started with ONE suv from the west valley to LAX, then quickly became two, then became two plus one from BH; and when rez agents left a bit early, this agent called again, and was quite pissed off that she got 'me', i.e. dispatch, instead of a rez agent... but I quickly dealt with booking one little car in Mia.
Meanwhile, another not-so-easy-to-get-along-with booker was calling every twenty minutes, for 'driver info' for her client, inbound to SFO at midnight. Our affiliate in SFO was not being helpful.
And I had a chauffeur that picked up at LAX, going to OC, and had her planned (tagged) on an ride for an arriving client at SNA.
She cleared at 2200, the follow up was an arrival at 2230..
and she initiated a complaint about how tired she was, sleepy, she can't be working these late hours... which left my partner and me, working hard on the phones, trying to find an affiliate to cover the ride, until she called back, saying she 'guessed she could manage to do the ride.'
The affiliate in SFO finally gave us driver info for the midnight SFO ride, and that ended the problems for the night.
I went back to watching "Sports Night": season 1, 11-12-13.

We were heading to Winco to pick up a few items, when a low-tire pressure light lit up, and a few minutes later, Merry said, "Flat tire."
We still made it to the Winco parking lot, and She called AAA.
I thought to go in and get milk and other items while waiting, but She didn't want to be driving around with anything spoilable in this 50 degree weather.
AAA arrived, made short work of the tire change, same tire that was replaced two weeks prior, showed me the nail jammed through the tread, and we were on our way to that Firestone.
The sidewall on the tire was shot, from driving on it, but it was replaced no charge, but we did have to pay for insurance, that Merry wanted, for this tire.
We headed home, I declined the invitation to stop at Winco enroute.
9:30 home.
Fed all.
MDM pulled pork on tortillas, and nachos.
Watched TRMS from Monday.
11:00 to sleep.
17:00 up, dressed.
Car, with Merry and Stitch, to Soup Plantation, for which I had a discount coupon.
On arrival, I realized, I had left the coupon on the dining table, after I had taken it out to make sure it was valid.

Getting ready, and Stitch was in the shower. Unusual, because he usually stays out of my way, when it's time for me to get up and ready.
I packed some snacks to take with me (baby carrots, banana, microwaveable popcorn) and mixed up a jug of iced coffee...
By which time, he was out of the shower, and I got in.
And dried, and dressed, and toilet, and beseeched Merry to get up and ready...

Got up, starting helping and managing getting the house cleaned a bit for expected company.
The expected company sent me a text, cancelling, due to an animal that needed to be rushed to an emergency vet.
So, Stitch and I put up our Christmas tree.
And I started up some Christmas tunes from youtube.
And Stitch and I decorated.
Sunshine came out of the bedroom, and clapped her hands in delight...
and cried, when certain songs were played, as they reminded her so much of her mommy, who's anniversary of passing away is two days from the date of this blog.
We got ourselves together and dressed, ready to go out on another shopping adventure.
15:00 three of us in the car.... some 20 minutes later, rain started falling...
Walmart... looking for tape and decorations for a purse that she is customizing for her younger granddaughter...
Library, to drop off a book we found in the garage, borrowed two years ago...
Target... to 'cash in a coupon' for buying two bags of dry cat food and getting 24 cans of food 'free'
A Wells Fargo to deposit the check that Dad sent, received today...

Off the 605 shortly after 13:00, and I reminded Merry of the 13:00 car service appointment. She turned around the other direction as the FS place was just down the street,and She went in, and rescheduled for 15:00, and we went on home ... 13:25.
I managed to get a car charger out of my car, which hasn't been at the house in a while, and get my house keys from Bullfrog..
We had hoped and planned on going to the Candle Lighting ceremony at SPW that night ... 19:00, but we'd have to leave at 17:30 and jointly decided...we would not make it.
I started on MDM .. meatloaf and tortillas..
and Dad called me while I was out of the room, and thus commenced a comedy of errors, involving me calling him while he was leaving me a message, and him calling me back while I was leaving him a message.
We talked awhile... about him planning to go to OK for Xmas, and getting ready for an Estate sale to empty out the house then to sell the house, to downsize.
Merry went back to FS for the 15:00 service. She still had to wait 2 hours...
Finished... I ate, and watched TRMS from Monday... and sleep,

The guy I was relieving told me that the company owner had yanked three chauffeurs off the rides we had planned to go hang out at a party at a hotel, our only hotel account, just to see if anybody needed rides home. So they/we had to farm the rides those three would have done.
Another guy got his passenger in the car, and passenger decided to go to Staple's for the game, before going to his hotel.
SO we had to farm the next ride we had planned for him.
Another guy was on an arrival for 19:00 for a quick ride to Man Beach, then was tagged for a next at 20:30.
The stupid flight landed at 19:00, but did not pull into the gate until 20:20. We had to farm the next ride he was tagged on.
Meanwhile, Rez agents are bombarding me: "Can I add a new SUV order at 0600.... a new SUV order at 0620... a new sedan at 0915...."
THEN some p.m. chauffeur claimed he had a 'request' at 09:15.
I had no idea if the client was really requesting him, or if the chauffeur was requesting himself on the ride, but the ride in question is 12 minutes and 5.5 miles, according to Google Maps, so what was the big fuckin' deal, anyway?
'We' covered the morning ride, and told this chauffeur, HT, no.
We needed HT to cover a night ride; it was an SUV ride from LAX at 22:00, and HT was one of very few chauffeurs in SUV this night.
So, he called, the chauffeur manager, TS, crying "Boo hoo hoo the mean dispatchers won't let me drive my request boo hoo hoo."
I'm guessing that's how the conversation went, I did not actually get to hear it.
So TS called us in dispatch. My associate took the call, probably a good thing, as I might have blew up directly at him.
And TS told my associate...to uncover the morning ride, give it to HT to do, and let HT take the car home.
Well, I've had quite enough of managers making it difficult for us dispatchers to do our job.
I decided on the spot, that's it.
I called Merry on the office phone, and told her, loud enough for my associate to hear me, "I'm quitting this job. Come and get me."
Then I sent a quick text to my supervisor, DB, writing, "I just quit and walked out, KW is alone".
I grabbed my bags, and walked out. KW looked at me, with his mouth open, and eyes bugging out.
I was outside, at the end of the driveway, waiting for Merry, knowing that it would take 45 min. more or less IF she left the house as soon as I called.... and DB called me.
Well, he talked me 'off the ledge' so to speak.
After fifteen minutes, I said, "Okay, I gotta call my wife and tell her to NOT come and get me."
I called Merry, and She said She was half way to the office, and wanted to keep coming. Well, okay...
Then the day dispatcher, MS, called me, saying, "What the hell...?"
I don't know called him...but I said, "It's over, I'm going back in, we'll talk in the morning.
So back to work.
She arrived; we talked privately in the car for a bit.
Then She came into the office, and we had nice three way conversation with Her and KW and me.
She left for home about 23:15, and KW left about 23:30.

I watched the last hour or so of "The Mummy--Tomb of the Dragon Emperor".
And tried to sleep, and it did not go well.
Could not get comfortable, up and down many times.
She got up, and I found out later, left the house 12:30 or so, to go get the flattened tire fixed.
She sent me a text saying, "I'm going to be waiting several hours, don't expect to be at work before 19:00"
Oops.
I let people at work know that I'd be a couple/few hours behind schedule...
Got up at 16:30...
Got ready to take a schedule as She called, asking if I could find Her ATM card, possibly in Her pants pocket.
Yep.
I read Her the number, and continued getting ready for a shower, and Stitch called, saying, they were on the way home.
I finally got in the shower...
And dressed.... and booted...and packed....
They arrived home 17:17,
And we three were in the car 17:26 heading to the office.
Rain... miserable traffic....
At work 18:41, IN 18:43.
I had to scramble to begin morning set up,as I thought someone here would have thought to deal with the very early rides, but they did not, so I was, well, scrambling.
Fortunately the night work had been dealt out, so I did not have to keep my eye on that.

01:20 the program reboot was finished; I was allowed to log in.

and called Her, to ask Her to get up , and come get me early as I forsaw I need to return to work early new, as our two newest dispatchers would be in charge of the room, and I was gonna want to get a jump on diving into the shit storm.
05:15 my morning relief dispatcher, DM, sent me a text, "OMW".
He was supposed to (scheduled to) be here at 05:00. But he was leaving his house at 0515, and he lives as far away from the office as I do. Turns out, as he told me later, that he has an alarm on his phone set for everyday EXCEPT Monday....
05:45 Merry arrived. DM was not here yet.
05:55 DM arrived.

06:45 home ...undressed, boot off...
Fed the cats.... Stitch was home, on vacation from work all this week, so we left the rousing and feeding of Donna Dawg to him, once he got up...
MDM, the last of the POT ROAST and t-chips...
In the bedroom, with nothing to watch on the DVR except "Ash vs Evil Dead" .
Well, not true. MANY movies on the DVR. I meant, nothing left of the various and numerous episodic shows I record, during the week.
7:40 sleep.
9:30 Up to p.
Awake 14:30, when She was telling me, She was off to kidnap #2 from LMBH and take him 'out' for awhile.
UP 15:30 to pee, saw Stitch napping on his bed.
Back to bed, joined by Donna.
Up 17:00, pill and alka seltzer and toilet...noticed that NO-body was home... in the shower, heard the front door open, and Sunshine yelled out, "Shilo, where are you?!"
"Shower!..."
And dressed..... made iced coffee... boot on.

'It' wasn't bad. It could have been better, but it was not bad.
'They' may have farmed a bit too much, in other words, outsourced some rides that we could have done... but I did not hear chauffeurs complain about being told, they were done, earlier than usual, so it seemed okay.
Then a quiet night...
Merri called and asked me to call Her back when I was alone.
I did.
She asked, "Did you masturbate ...<recently>..?"
"Uh, no, and why do you ask...?"
"I found a used condom..."
Well, the last time I masturbated was... I don't know for sure, a long time ago...and I don't use condoms when I do, or rather, when I did. Or at least, not in THIS house. Stitch, Babyman, Merry and me in car 13:45
Dropped Stitch at LBMH to visit #2.
On to a VZW store, to get Babyman a new phone... Wound up getting him a phone identical to the one he has been using, but now he has one with His 'old' phone number, and we got this other one back. (Now I can play Words with Friends on a phone, rather than having to get out a tablet)
Then we took Babyman to LBMH, and we went to Von's.
Shopped took stuff home unloaded (1630)
Back in car, to LBMH ...Merry found out by phone call, that #5 son was at hospital visiting, and had his daughter ... Merry's other grand daughter... and Merry wanted to go up and visit... so we stopped to get a paper for me...
And pulled into parking lot at LBMH; She went on inside and up: I waited in car.
And we (all four) were home, 18:15
I sat in chair in living room, playing scrabble, reading the newspaper, and watched TNR 3:2, 3 on a tablet.
Dinner Beef stew and chips...
Then to the bedroom, watched Unforgettable
... and sleep, 00:05.

Awake 01:00 and 05:00
Coco knocked on our door, 0900, and opened it when I said, "Come in" to say 'good bye'.
So, awake to make coffee
Eat a banana, and later, t-chips...
In bed, reading newspapers, playing WWF.
UP 13:15 ... toilet... shower... dressed... toilet.... boot on foot... ready...
Merry, Babyman, and I to Merry's car, 14:00.
Stopped for a tank 'o' gas...
At work 14:41.
About 86 rides happened/happening Sunday...
And 53 to 'worry about' Monday...
Not a tough night...
Played more WWF at work,
and read the parts of the two papers I brought with me... snack: potato chips

Coco was driving, and was waiting to get into the bathroom which #1 had just gone into...so ... a long wait...
In her car, with all three dogs riding along, 0725.
At work 08:00....
72 rides for today, 78 to manage for tomorrow... heh...
SO the ops manager at work, "RS" had sent me an email, requesting a meeting with me prior to the start of my shift on Tuesday regarding 'my health'
and I emailed my supervisor, DB, and told him that I do NOT want any meeting with RS re my health, and was giving notice to quit, whether it be one week, two, or three.
We talked about it at work during the day...
And agreed that I had no need to meet with RS, and I wasn't giving notice to quit.
With a few bumps .... it was quiet enough to place a few games of WWF, and watch a good chunk of OU TCU, that started at 17:00 or so....
which had a happy ending, and the first 'happy ending' I've had in some time...
Dinner, excellent beef stew, warmed tortillas, then tortilla chips..
Watched "Guardians of the Galaxy" ...

Merry was with me, asked me to pause it while She went to toilet...

Merry got dressed, and went with Coco, or rather, Coco drove her to LBCC to see a benefit being put on for #2's ...well, benefit...
She returned home.... 22:30 I think...I was still mostly asleep....

09:30 awake.... coffee and newpapers
while watching TNR 1:10, 2:1, 2:2
and started on 2:3, but fell asleep from 13:30 to 16:45.
Some discussion and confusion earlier as Coco misunderstood what my scheduled start time at work is on Sunday (15:30)
And She had a shower to be at from noon to 17:00.
So I dealt with the office, let them know I'd be in some later than what was expected...

In Coco's car, 17:53 and at work 18:50.
What a fukkin night..
Some 'music' event on for MTV at the PDC... a 159 ride day, and very touch and go whether we'd get all the rides covered.
(we did)
Except for the on line booking I got at 23:50 (that's 2:50 eastern) for a pickup at BWI (Baltimore) at 06:00.
I called the 4 affiliates we have listed in Baltimore (one 'no', three recorded messages) and 5 affiliates we have listed in the DC area... nothin' honey.
I hate making all the calls; I have even more saying 'no' to our clients.

01:30 up, pee and ...snack.
We were sleeping okay, then #2 called, after reading Merry's fb post about Her accident... DEMANDING She get checked out at a hospital.
So we were awake, and She was not doing well.
So we got up and around...
I wrote a long FB post along the lines of "FML"...
She was nauseated, so I helped Her in the bathroom, which woke up Stitch...around 05:30....
And we continued sitting up, not wanted to wake Coco up, but waiting for her to get up, to take Merry ..and me...to the hospital.
She was awake around 0700, and we got ready...
She drove..which was the idea...and dropped us off, 0730.
The hospital was rather quiet. She got through registration, check in, triage, rather quickly...along with going through the x-ray department.
There was a bit of a wait, for a bed to open in the examining area...
But soon we were there.... visiting by a nurse, and the same doctor who treated me, three weeks prior.
Merry wound up with a splint on Her left wrist, covering a bone that may or may not be broken...
Nothing to do about Her ribs, broken or otherwise...
She got a tetanus shot in view of the scrape on Her knee...
Then came a VERY long wait, for results from the x-ray department.
Finally She was discharged....
I summoned Coco by text.
The doctor said while we were leaving, "See you in a couple weeks?"
Ha.
So, we were picked up around noon.
Went to a CVS to drop off the script for Norco.
And home, we both went into BR1.
CVS called, they were having a problem with... getting authorization for the prescribing doctor.
They called again later, which resulted in Coco fetching the script from them, and taking it to Walmart, which notified us by text, it was ready within 30 minutes.
(We still haven't picked it up yet)
So .... Merry dozed, and I watched football with half an eye, while sleeping from 1 to 4:30.
Awake 17:00 to watch OU vs Baylor.
Wow.
til 21:00
Then watched the Democratic Debate which I had recorded earlier, from 6 to 8.
Merry managed to get up and make dinner, with a lot of help from Stitch... baked chicken, and rice..... .
